What is it?
Pioneered by the French physician Dr. Michel Pistor in 1952, mesotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure that is widely used for injuries and medical and aesthetic conditions. It targets problem areas with micro-injections of conventional or homeopathic medicines, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Tiny amounts are delivered directly into the mesoderm (middle layer of skin) that are specific to the condition being treated. What can be treated?
Among its many applications, mesotherapy can be used to eliminate cellulite, promote weight loss, provide anti-ageing benefits and build muscle.Mesotherapy provides facial rejuvenation to brighten and refresh the skin whilst reducing wrinkles and fine lines. When used around the jaw area it tightens the skin, improving facial sagging, creating a younger appearance.
One of its numerous uses is to relieve dark circles by improving circulation and under-eye bags, by breaking down fatty deposits. This reduces puffiness, improves the skin texture and consequently eliminates the tired appearance.
When treating cellulite each treatment is customised to the individual depending on the stage of the cellulite development – most people despise the ‘orange-peel’ appearance that cellulite produces. Mesotherapy targets the causes of cellulite by increasing circulation, breaking down localised fat deposits and firming the skin. If you want your body profile to appear significantly refined, toned and slimmed, this is the treatment for you.
Muscle can be built in a similar way by delivering the product directly into the targeted area, which results in the breakdown of fat cells and encourages better muscle tone. The overlying skin looks and feels smoother, firmer and more toned.
