Do you have foot problems?

There are a variety of conditions that can cause pain and discomfort to your feet. Our specialist consultant at The Beauty Society, Funmi Oke, can target all your footcare needs.

Gait Analysis

Walking is complex and difficult to analyse visually. Gait Analysis allows us to look at specific aspects of the way you walk. This can help isolate causes for walking abnormalities.

Orthotics/Insoles

Orthotic Insoles have been proven to eliminate posture problems and foot and leg pain.

Ingrowing Toe Nails

The nail becomes 'ingrowing' when the side of the nail cuts into the skin next to the nail. This can become painful. The skin next to the nail may also become infected or inflamed. Any toe can be affected, but it is usually the big toe. It is a common problem, especially in teenagers and young adults.

Verrucae

A verruca is simply a wart that is usually found on the soles of your feet, though they can also appear around the toes. In the early stages, a verruca looks like a small, dark, puncture mark but later turns grey or brown. It may become rough and bumpy with a cauliflower-like appearance and may develop a black spot in the middle, which is caused by bleeding. A verruca can grow to half an inch in diameter and may spread into a cluster of small warts.

Heel Pain and Cracked Heel

also known as heel fissures are cracks that occur in the back of the heel, usually on both heels. For some people this can be a chronic problem, which is more annoying than dangerous. However, for some people such as diabetics, people with poor circulation and people with immunosuppressant diseases this problem can have major consequences. At times, the cracks can be very painful.
