Mineral Make-up

The smokey hot look

Mineral Make-up the smokey hot look
1. Begin by applying a concealer under your foundation to help disguise any under-eye shadows. Make sure to choose an appropriate shade for your skin tone, then dot some under your eye and pat with your finger until it has disappeared 2. Next, smooth a neutral light eye shadow over your eyes, such as ‘Candlelight’ to give a base. This can be applied inbetween your eyebrows and the crease of the eyelid to give a lifting effect. It also works to prevent a greasy line of eye shadow forming in the crease. 3. Using a small fine brush apply a dark eye shadow such as ‘Pewter’ along the lash line a third of the way in. Then apply another soft line along the curve of the eyelid working inwards and blend to give a smoky effect. To give an alternative twist on this look, apply a purple eye shadow such as ‘Currant’, which will make the eyes appear bright and clear.

4. Adding eye liner will enhance the look, and a ‘shimmery’ eye shadow such as ‘Silver Mineral Gems’ can then be applied with your fingers all over the eyelid to give sparkle. 5. The next step is to brighten your eyes with a highlighter. This can be done on the inner corner with a gold or pink highlighter, and gently blended to give you a more striking look. 6. Complete the look by first curling your lashes and then apply two layers of black mascara for a glamorous finish.

Using blues and aquamarines can do wonders for most eye colours. Begin by brushing the blue over your lids with a soft brush. Build up the colour until you are happy with the intensity of the shade. Finish with an aquamarine colour nearest the lashes, sweeping from the corner to edge of your eye. If you want a high-fashion look, create it with either eyeliner or eye shadow. Draw on the lash line from the corner of your eye out and extend in a horizontal and upward direction until in line with the end of your eyebrow. Eye shadow can create a thicker line than eyeliner and this can be achieved by dampening your eye shadow brush to give a more accurate application.

Be striking with some dazzling gold eye shadow and black eyeliner. This look is perfect for making the most of your glamorous side! For additional sparkle use ‘Silver Mineral Gems’ over the top of the lids. There are occasions when a more natural look is appropriate – especially for day wear. Sweep a light brown colour over your entire lid and avoid shading or building up in any particular area.
