Acne Keloides Nuchae

This is an inflammatory disease found mainly in afro caribbean men and sometimes women at the back of the neck. There are bumps with or without pus and varying degrees of hair loss. If this condition is not treated early it can spread to involve most of the scalp with scarring hair loss, inflammation and draining sinuses. Treatment at this stage is quite challenging and scarring tends to be permanent.
