Psoriasis

This is an inflammatory skin disease in which there is increased shedding of the skin leading to a very scaly rash most commonly on the scalp. Elbows, knees and lower back. The nails and joints can be affected. Can cause a lot of social embarrassment and is not contagious. However it is hereditary and many members of the same family may suffer from it.
