Why have a skin peel?

A skin peel is an agent which, when applied, removes the outer surface revealing fresher layers which ultimately give you a more youthful, healthier appearance. Peels are also used in the treatment of acne vulgaris, melasma, sun damage, depressed scars, uneven skin tones and hyper-pigmentation, amongst others. Peels can be superficial or deep and must be administered by trained personnel. Although people tend to be apprehensive about the term, skin or chemical peels are safe reversible treatments when appropriately used.

Treatment is contra-indicated where patients have unrealistic expectations, ice pick scars, large dilated pores, keloid formation or certain medical conditions.

The easy phytic is an effective peel with no down time. It is excellent for anti-ageing, pigmentation and acne or as a one-off treatment to pep up and revitalise your skin tone and texture. A course of 6 or more is recommended for optimal results.

DCL/Neostrata Glycolic Skin Peel

Extracted from sugar cane and buffered with willow herb, it provides a great exfoliation, leaving skin feeling luxuriously smooth and clean. Excellent for anti-ageing, pigmentation and acne reduction. There is no down time or shedding of the skin. A course of 6 or more is recommended for optimal results.

Skin Tech TCA Skin Peel

A more aggressive peel for more intense results. Four treatments required one week apart. You may experience shedding of the skin for 2-3 days. An SPF must be applied daily. Used for anti-ageing, pigmentation and acne reduction.

ICP Peel in a bag

A powerful peel to treat pigmentation and photo ageing for the face or body whilst improving texture and skin quality. One treatment, with improvement in 10 days. You may experience shedding of the skin for 2-3 days but a specialised foundation is supplied.

Medical Microdermabrasion

A powerful exfoliation, effectively and safely removing dead skin cells from the outer layer of the skin. A vacuum is also used to encourage collagen production.
