A minor surgical procedure is one that can be carried out within your lunch hour, this means that there is no downtime and little to no scarring leaving you to resume your daily activities. A surgeon, doctor or specialist nurse will perform the procedure under a local anaesthetic (which numbs the pain, yet allows you to remain awake). Examples of minor surgical procedures that can be performed are:
- Skin biopsies
- Mole removal
- Benign skin lesion removal
- Skin tag removal
- Verruca and wart removal
- In-growing toenail removal
- Sebaceous cyst removal
- Fatty lump removal
- Earlobe repair
Aftercare
After your procedure, your clinician will provide you with post-operative care instructions and a care pack, which will include everything required to manage the area that has been operated on (this might include antibiotics and painkillers where necessary). You will also be given a review date to return to the clinic, in order for your progress to be monitored. For patients who have queries about anything to do with their surgery, the specialist team at The Beauty Society are at your service to provide the required advice and reassurance
